Our Story

Preserving Providers was founded by a team of budding journalists.

We were inspired by the concept of sonder- the realization that each passerby has a life as vivid and complex as one's own, with their own ambitions, thoughts, and experiences. 

Looking around in our personal lives, we recognized the silent struggles that caregivers were facing- the sudden weight of feeling responsible for another person's life, struggling to maintain old lifestyles and friendships, and dealing with emotional turmoil.

Thus, Preserving Providers was founded to share caregivers' inspiring stories and help them feel seen, while simultaneously raising youth engagement in storytelling and journalism. We hope you'll join us.
